German Green Party member caught with meth

Volker Beck, a member of the German Green Party (as in every other nation, nu-male, socialist scum), has been arrested because of meth possession.

Beck was arrested this week by the strong arm of the law in Berlin. According to the German newspaper, Deutsche Welle, he has, since his arrest, resigned from several political positions.

It was found by police during a street check near Berlin’s gay district earlier this week, according to local media reports

Beck chaired the German-Israeli parliamentary group, and as religious spokesman for his party regularly spoke out against anti-Semitism and defended Israel. In November last year, he was honored by the Central Council of Jews in Germany for his involvement on behalf of the country’s Jewish communities.

Beck was a champion for other minorities in Germany, too. Himself one of the first Bundestag representatives to come out as gay, he was spokesman for Germany’s Lesbian and Gay Federation for 13 years.

The politician has been fighting for a more liberal drugs policy approach in Germany for years. He said that he’s not worried and that his lawyer will come with a statement later.
